A Nice Note!

June 8, 2009

Today at BQ Basement Systems we received a nice short letter from one of our long time customers. It is always such a pleasure listening and reading what our customer’s think about us and how we have helped them out.

I thought I would share the letter with our blog followers, today. A letter from one of our Rockledge, PA (Montgomery County) customers.

“Dear Sirs:

This letter of thanks is long overdue. Approximately eight years ago, I began working with your company when I moved into my home. Your service/sales representative arrived at my home to inspect the basement. His advice proved excellent, as was the installation and materials provided. Two years ago, your company treated and installed mold proofing wall treatments in the basement of my home. Again, I was pleased with both the product and quality of installation. Due to my complete satisfaction with the high quality of your products, several years later when your company offered a free basement systems checkup and cleaning, I gladly accepted. Additionally, I needed replacement blocked basement windows. Upon hearing, your company now provides this product; I once again chose your company’s product. Your sales representative arrived at my home, inspected and measured each of the four window casings and arranged installaton with me. Moreover, I look fowrward to the installation of the SaniFlow [SaniDry] air treatment system in my home next month.

The materials, products, and service personel your company provides proves exceedingly high in quality. Over the eight years I deatl with your company, I have had the upmost in in quality custmer service both in my home and from your office staff, most especially Dianna. Dianna is the contact person with whom I worked to plan and schedule all of the services listed above. Dianna deomstrates the hightest level of quiality customer service. She is professional and polite – always helpful and friendly.

Please extend my thanks to your employees, who provided the services liested above.

Thank you.”

BQ wants to “WoW” Philly with our SaniDry Dehumidifier

May 20, 2009

A common term around our office when explaining the SaniDry is “a dehumidifier on steroids.” And that is exactly what it is. This dehumidifier is powerful enough to get the job you want done in your home. We carry 2 different models: the SaniDry CSB (typically used in crawlspaces) and the SaniDry Upright.

It is very often after a system is installed either by us or another company, that a homeowner is calling us and telling us that the basement still seems moist to them. This can be caused by numerous things such as sweating pipes or the relative humidity is high and more. The SaniDry is the answer for these such problems. Many homes will be experiencing this especially now that we are getting close to summer, here in Philadelphia. Philly is typical for our humid summer and that humidity alone can hurt your home on the inside.

Recently, the SaniDry was recognized on Daily Home Renovation Tips. http://dailyhomerenotips.com/2009/04/16/sanidry-dehumidifier-part-1-my-new-energy-conservation-toy/ We are always so proud when our products get mentioned as a dealer and also as a part of the entire Basement Systems Network. There is so much information that this website includes, it is a 5 part series on the SaniDry, alone. Feel free to check it out and then come back here and leave us some comments. If there is not enough information there for you, there is even more on our website http://www.bqbasementsystems.com/dehumidifier.php

Enjoy and start now, prepare yourselves and your home for the summer!!!

Interesting News that I MUST share!

May 11, 2009

Today, BQ Basement Systems received our monthly CleanSpace Capsule from Basement Systems Headquarters. Our CleanSpace Capsule is our monthly newsletter from headquarters that keeps all of the Certified Basement System CleanSpace dealers updated on new products and news. It is just another way for us as dealers to help you as homeowners. We want your crawl spaces to be perfect, dry, clean, odor and pest free.

It has been tough for many people out there during these “economic times” and I think most can agree to that, even if you are/were  not impacted directly. No matter what we should always be looking to the bright side and staying positive. Mike Delmolino of Basement Systems shared with the dealers some interesting statistics in the most recent CleanSpace Capsule. A friend of Mike passed this message along to him and he is unaware of the author, but he wanted to share with us and I know want to share with you.

Please take a moment to read and reflect on this:

“If Earth’s population were shrunk into a village of just 100 people – with all of the human ratios existing in the world still remaining, what would this tiny, diverse village look like?

That’s exactly what Philip M. Harter MD, at the Standford University School of Medicine attempted to figure out. This is what he found:

“57 people would be Asian, 21 would be European, 14 would be from the western hemisphere, 8 would be African, 52 would be female, 48 would be male, 80 would be nonwhite, 20 would be white, 89 would be heterosexual and 11 would be homosexual. 6 people would possess 59% of the entire world’s wealth, and all 6 would be from the United States. 80 would live in substandard housing, 70 would be unable to read, 50 would suffer from malnutrition, 1 would be near death, 1 would be pregnant, 1 would have a University education, and 1 would own a computer.”

I think most of us are very lucky for what we have currently. Times may be tough right now, but we should be thankful for having roofs over our heads, clothes on our back, food to eat and especially our health. Already you are ahead of millions of people by having these select few things.

Pass this message along to friends, family, etc. I think its very important to always look at the bright side of things!

Have a great day!
